The
Treasure Chest with Teddy Bear. The Teddy bear
sits sentinel over the treasures inside, and guards them. A Teddy
Bear is a source of comfort and love. I hope you will pack special
memories into your Treasure Chest, along with priceless mementos.
Whenever you want to reminisce and take a trip back to yesteryear, open
up your treasure chest and take your treasures out, one at a time, and
think back to why that item is special to you. I bet each of your
treasures will bring a smile to your face and gladness in your heart.
Always make sure your Teddy Bear sits guard, and protects your special
treasures. |
|

Fun Emblems: |
|
WGM -
Mickey Mouse -
It all began with a mouse. One simple little critter that would take the world
by storm and bring delight to children of all ages. Mickey Mouse has been a
favorite cartoon character of Linda’s for as long as she can remember. Mickey
brings a smile to everyone, because of his antics, stories and his whistling.
Visiting Walt Disney World many time are part of Linda’s most treasured vacation
memories. Mickey Mouse makes everyone happy, and puts a smile on everyone’s face. |
|
WGP -
Hand Cranked Freezer - One of Bill's most
treasured memories of his childhood, was making Home Made Ice Cream in a Hand
Cranked Freezer. The mixing of various flavors, produced a product that
you can't buy anywhere, and was something that everyone loved and wanted.
Bill equates this to the mixing of sister and Brotherly Love from around the
State. He says, "Share with me in this delightful Flavor". |
|
Watchwords: |
|
Trustworthy, Loyal, Kind, Generous,
Loving - Attributes that Linda and Bill like to live by. |
| |
|
Motto: |
TREASURE the past,
CHERISH the present, and DREAM for the future
|
|
Flowers: |
| Chrysanthemums |
| Roses - of all colors |
| Daisies |
| Carnations |
| Dogwood |
| Violets |
Colors: |
|
Blue -
All shades of blue are found in the skies of
early morning to late night. The lightest of blue of the early morning sky
is represented by the Aquamarine, which is the March birthstone of Linda, the
Worthy Grand Matron. The medium blue of the noontime sky is represented by
the Blue Topaz, which is the December birthstone of Bro Bill, husband and escort
to the Worthy Grand Matron. The deepest of blue of the night sky is
represented by the Sapphire, which is the September birthstone of Linda's mom,
Sis. Wilma Ward and that of Sis. Karen, wife and escort to the Worth Grand
Patron. |
| |
| Purple -
The
grape purple is found in the flowers and budding trees, and is seen in the
depths of our waterways and oceans and sometimes in the skies above. It is
represented by the Amethyst, which is the February birthstone of Linda's dad,
Bro. Milford Ward, and her mother-in-law, Roberta Wilson. |
| |
| Green -
The
medium green is seen in the grasses in our yards and fields, the leaves of the
trees and foliage of our plants. It is represented by the Peridot, which
is the August birthstone of Mike, Linda & Bill's only son. |
| |
| Pink-
The
rose pink is found in the springtime blossoms of the trees and the beautiful
flowers that bloom all year. The beauty of a setting sun often is laced
with pink. As the pink deepens into a red hue, it is represented by the
Ruby, which is the July birthstone of Bro. Bill, the Worthy Grand Patron.
Also, pink was chosen because Linda likes it. |
| |
| Gold and Silver accents -
The gold is seen in the golden sun, which is a source of
heat and light, and promotes good health, and the silver is seen in the skies at
night in the twinkling stars. |

Heart Association of MO: Cardiovascular
disease has touched home to many of us, and is a main contributor to a
variety of other health issues. Education about the disease, and
prevention efforts, can decrease the risk of heart issues to everyone.
The pin was designed, with sales to benefit this charity, is a
Double Heart.
Locks of Love: This is a public non-profit
organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children
under the age of 21 who are suffering from long-term hair loss due to
medical conditions, such as treatments of radiation to the brain stem or
chemotherapy as treatments for cancer, or other medical conditions, like
Alopecia and burns. Children who are fighting for their life due to a
debilitating disease deserve to "just be like everyone else" and fit in.
Children can be cruel to other children, just because they look different.
Our donations to Locks of Love can help to pay for custom-fitted hairpieces
for these children. The mission of this organization is to return a sense of
self-confidence and normalcy to children suffering hair loss. Special
hair cutting events may be scheduled to donate ponytails or braids of 10" or
longer, to be used in making these hairpieces, which are made from human
hair. The Camera pin was
designed, with sales to benefit this charity.
Support Dogs: This is a chosen charity of the Most
Worthy Grand matron. Funds raised in Missouri will stay in our state.
Support dogs provide a vital link to society for someone suffering from a
crippling disease or condition. They provide eyes, feet and hands for
a disabled person, yet acts as a companion, as well. Support dogs are
very costly to train. Our donation to this fund could assist in the
training fees and possible placement of a dog, or dogs, in our state.
The pin designed, with sales to benefit this charity, is a
Bouquet of our various flowers
with a Heart Locket lying over the Bouquet.
Camp Wonderland: This property is located in
the central region of Missouri, in Rocky Mount, MO, near Lake of the Ozarks,
and is a camp for youth and adults of special needs. their organized
program spans 13 weeks in the summer, serving 1,500 campers last year, who
traveled from all corners of our state, and even came from 16 other states.
It is expected to have similar turn-out this year, as well. this is a
"one-of-a-kind" facility, with a skilled staff, who bring "special magic"
for a week for a special needs camper. Raising funds, to provide
camperships for individuals allows some the opportunity to experience the fun
of being in the great outdoors and associating with their peers, and perhaps
take their mind off their special need for a while. An
Eagle pin was
designed, with sales to benefit this charity.
Masonic Youth Organizations: The Masonic youth of
today are the future of our Order. Job's Daughters, Rainbow for Girls and
DeMolay offers wonderful opportunities and training. supporting our own
youth is an investment for possible growth in our Chapters. A
Mickey Mouse Charm was chosen for this
charity. Profits from the sale of this charm will be divided equally among
each of these youth organizations.
